Wow! BISC did it again! The team played two outstanding games today which enabled them to hold the championship trophy at the end. Congratulations BISC players on your win! Your teamwork and competitive spirit won the day and made for a lot of excitement for parents to cheer loudly for. Today 8 Lions met at the school (at 6:30 AM!) ready to travel to Boleslawiec for the Lower Silesian TAG rugby Finals. 31 teams from all over Lower Silesia competed to be regional champions and the standard was very impressive. Our Lions tried hard but were facing tough opposition. Players we were against have been playing TAG rugby both at school and out of school for club teams for many years. Most of our team have only been playing for a few months. But still, we drew 1 game (which we should have won) and lost our other 3 games by small margins. We scored good tries in every game, we never gave up, and kept playing good rugby. Most importantly our players were smiling and enjoyed their day, despite feeling a little disappointed. With all our recent success, our Lions have got used to winning, but this time we settle for 10th out of 12 in our age category. We are still the top team in Wroclaw and can now look to keep improving and be ready for an exciting new season in March/April!! Player of the tournament: Yash - He has really grown in confidence this season and is now a dangerman in our team, always looking for the ball and finding gaps in the opposition defence to score some great tries.
